The lady has killed her husband and is now standing in front of his body, trembling in fear and confusion. She is waiting for the moment when she can snap out of this state and regain her senses.

Her lawyer, who is also a close friend and the one handling her divorce case, arrives. Her husband wasn’t a bad person, but she is schizophrenic, and her schizophrenia makes her see an evil figure who wants to kill her husband. However, this figure will stop targeting him if she gets a divorce. She wanted to protect her husband and wished the best for him, as she deeply cared about him.

As she and the lawyer talk, they revisit how her marriage began, how that evil figure seemed determined to kill her husband unless she left him, and how she ultimately decided to seek a divorce. However, the divorce is not going to be easy, and she regrets every single bit of it.

Now, paranoia creeps into her mind. She starts believing that the evil figure is an actual person—someone devoid of human emotions, someone who wants her husband's life, and the only way to save him is to leave him. But she’s unsure whether this is reality or just her emotions twisting the past. The lawyer, who secretly desires her, seizes this opportunity. He subtly feeds into her paranoia, convincing her that the shadowy figure is a real and dangerous threat who will harm her husband if she doesn’t listen.

As they talk, he begins to flirt with Shreya, and somehow, she doesn’t reject his advances—whether out of genuine attraction or as an escape, she doesn’t know. She is on the verge of cheating, drawn into the lawyer’s web of influence. Slowly, she comes back to her senses and stops his advances, but she bears a strong guilt and shame. She questions herself—why didn’t she hesitate? Where was her love at that moment?

Then, one night, she wakes up to her schizophrenic hallucination shouting at her, giving her a brutal reality check: she was about to cheat—where was her hesitation then? Where was her love? The words pierce through her, and suddenly, she snaps. She starts screaming.

Her husband wakes up, alarmed, and asks if she is okay. But when she looks at him, she freaks out—he looks exactly like her schizophrenic hallucination. Panic takes over. She starts running around mindlessly, grabbing a knife with the thought of ending her own life. But as her husband tries to stop her, in that moment, he becomes the evil figure in her mind.

They struggle. And then—suddenly, by accident—she stabs him.

At that exact moment, her schizophrenia vanishes. And what she sees now is horrifying:
